Established in 1999 and incorporated in 2003, Cassian Consultancy
Services provides Project Management, Property Development & Construction Advice
to a wide range of companies. The prime purpose of the company is to provide project
management services for new build and refurbishment projects, from inception through
to completion, mostly working in the private sector. Secondly, Cassian provides
the whole range of planning, programming and scheduling services, from tender
stage, to active participation throughout the construction process, and if necessary,
concluding in delay analysis and forensic planning.

Brief
Description
This
project comprises 28 apartments arranged in two blocks, 16 for sale, 12 affordable
units for rent for Coastline Housing Association. The site was subject to an enabling
demolition contract. The affordable block is a three storey timber frame construction,
the apartments for sale are arranged over five storeys of traditional masonry
construction
Cassian involvement commenced with the preparation of various
cost plans resulting in a value engineering exercise in order to achieve best
value for the employer. Subsequent to that, Cassian managed the design, prepared
the Employer's Requirements, sourced additional surveys, procured the project
on a Design and Build basis, prepared contract documentation and administered
the contract through to completion
